SohoDolls

Stunning ensemble straight outta Soho London with a sweet sound that will lift the festival into another zone as they take the stage at 6pm, just after The King Blues on the Main Stage. Glam, sultry, extremely interesting and hard to put down once tasted – the SohoDolls experience is definitely one of the highlights of this years show!

Dub From Atlantis

Old Skool Bristol faves take the headline spot for the 8.15 show with a short but very sweet set to carry on the party before The Blockheads assume central position at 9pm. Dub From Atlantis help define the current Bristol sound and are a rare treat of untarnished excellence amidst a sea of otherwise mediocre offerings of a similar nature

The Phoenix Rose

A really welcome guest in the shape of this eco friendly and experimental band – these guys are playing a load of festivals this year including obviously our own plus a few smaller and less well known events like Glastonbury, Big Chill, Beachdown, Waveform, Big Green Gathering and Sunrise so we are in good company! The Phoenix Rose are at the helm of a new breed of sounds that cross several genres and their appearance between Macka B and Horace Andy will bring of touch of something unique and inspirational to the large crowd expected for their performancewww.myspace.com/thephoenixroses

Kev & Mike’s Groovy Thing

Brilliant 5 piece jazz combo with some of the hottest musicians in town, these boys have been playing out for a long time and it shows, with tightness and general all round cool that comes with experience, to the delight of the rest of us. Expect some classics as well as rare with an accessible and easy listening ensemble of perfect jazz grooves, with the emphasis on fun and good vibes, spot on for the Sunday 2pm slot as the BVF warms up for the rest of the day

Erinn Williams

Solo singer songwriter all the way from L dot A in the US of A so give this one a big welcome as she opens the show for us at midday with a collection of her own songs. Vegan, raw food and great vocals!

Rubber Ritchie

This man is unique, a 21st century contortionist and showman to match, with a couple of acts that are absolutely the highlight of the weekend for many kids and adults alike. Zany, mad as you like, a little bit outrageous, awesome and quite inspirational performances from this likeable fella who has performed at all our shows except for one since they began back in 2003. Must have, must see, much appreciation.

Rubber Ritchie

Latin Dance Passion

Flamboyant, exciting, enthralling – a group of ultra talented Latin dancers with a combination of verve and rhythm guaranteed to impress and bewitch, truly outstanding performances form this troupe at the top of its game, and perfect for the whole family as their suave and exotic dances ensure a wonderful spectacle for everyone.

HabanaFlex

Great little combo with a sunny disposition and some marvellous tunes to give a continental feel to the afternoon, easy on the ears and gently persuasive making them ideal for the acoustic stage.

The Vegan Environmental Awards 09

Voting has been running online for these awards and they draw to a climax as the winners of the nine different categories are announced live on stage at 3pm. The lines are open up until midnite may 30th so you can vote online until then – see www.veganfayre.co.uk for details

Simon Kohli and Tapan Roy

Brilliant tabla and sarod combo with haunting and inspirational classical Indian theme set to instill a magical eastern atmosphere in the traditonal festival sense as their music drifts across the Waterfront Square in pleasurable quantities designed to delight and awaken the soul within.

KolaKoca

Bluesy folky style, easy on a sunday afternoon with a melodic and sassy style to accompany the BVF before  the heavier reggae vibe sets in for the day!
